Michael Jackson is not speaking to the Vatican.

Michael Jackson is NOT in negotiations with the Vatican to sing the prayers of Pope John Paul, the Great. And even if he was, it's not as preposterous as we in America think. Last year I wrote an opinion piece on Michael Jackson. The newspaper syndicate that published it got over 1000 responses. Many were from fans who STILL love him. Many were from Europe, especially England. The editor told me that most were so filthy and sick that he didn't want to show them to me. I decided to pass. To American whites Jackson is dead meat but he still has black fans and he's still huge in Europe. The idea of him singing the prayers of John Paul II revolts me but I'll bet the CD would make a profit

There's been little else about the Church that Jackson has had any interest in, so it's just as well the project falls through.

The last thing Rome needs is to be associated with another homosexual headliner.

On another note: John Paul II was a good and holy man. But JP II "the Great?" Negative. I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid yet!

Now Pius XII the Great? You bet!

I am not a very great fan of Pacelli either.

He initiated the "theologeme" that NFP is sometimes licit. He departed from obvious sense of Genesis 1-11 when it comes to age of Earth and origin of Man. He encouraged a new line of research in Biblical studies, which in itself might have been licit, but he did it when it was extra much infected.

Divino Afflante Spiritu to the change of Christmas Proclamation in 1994, fifty years of departing from positions obviously Catholic up to and including Pope St Pius X, and his Biblical commission in 1909. When it gave a few answers.
