Is this the end of Teddy?

There are reports from foreign sources that Archbishop McCarrick going to be cast out of the priesthood. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'd rather see him sent to a prison monastery under guard.

Even in these crazy times, I believe McCarrick will be cast out of the priesthood.

There is a retired priest in my diocese — known for his arrogance (yet ability to make friends in high places), his leftist activism, his public slamming of the Church’s teachings on sexual morality, and spearheading the wreckovation of churches — who was found last year with a gigantic stash of child porn images and videos of a particularly violent and horrific quality. He was sentenced in December to 25 years fixed (no parole). The diocese has announced that, now that he has been sentenced, they have started the process of having him deposed from the clerical state.

I have no doubt that this will happen. The only question (not unreasonably asked even by persons outside the Church) is why the process wasn’t started sooner.

Mr. Mccarrick is alive and well, laicized, and continuing to live contently as a civilian at the same monastary in Kansas. Odd that he is not treated like priests similarly accused and laicized who are sent out the door. They should have sent him to servants of the paraclete where he can be with those of a similar ilk who are in need of permanent healing.......
