What a beautiful picture of Saint Therese! May you be caught in her "shower of roses."

It is thanks to the intercession of St. Therese that I got my present job. When I saw the opening listed, I started a novena to her to ask her to obtain this job for me, and further asked her for yellow roses if the answer was yes.

A couple days into the novena, I went to adoration, and there, at the foot of the tabernacle -- a bouquet of yellow roses with red-edged petals. I understood this to mean that the answer was yes, but that I had trials to undergo before I would get the job. I couldn't be sure, of course, that this was true, but in the event I was proved right. The trials came -- not really terrible ones in the grand scheme of things, but I had to endure things that were very repugnant to my nature. I also was caught in a position of having another offer, and choosing between that and this job I really wanted.

Then I started seeing more and more yellow roses. Then it looked like I wasn't going to get the job after all. It was pretty wrenching. All the while, I wondered whether I was just seeing what I wanted to see with all the yellow roses. Finally, I got the job.

N.B.: This was after pounding the pavement for months, and following up unsuccessfully on numerous leads. Also made numerous novenas to the Little Flower. And when the answer was no, it was like all the roses disappeared for miles around.

Anyway, long post, but the bottom line is: the Little Flower went so far out of her way to do things for God during her life on earth, that now God goes out of His way to do things for her. And the roses ain't a myth.
