Once a person who had been abused as a child remarked that he learned not to cry when he was being beaten because that just made his father even angrier. He had to take his beating and then give his father a kiss afterwards.

We have no such constraint placed upon us. Of course we pray for him, but we will call out his errors.

Perhaps Pope should have posted the famous saying:

"Never complain; never explain." A leadership motto.

But Pope in his posting was referring to us, not himself. In case of Pope he always complains and never explains. Pope communicates his weakness and ineptness by what he does and says.
