You are referring to his comments about fundamentalists? His stance on war being the largest cause of death? This man makes me very afraid, most of my parish seems to love him, my pastor thinks he's just awesome, I could keep going but you get the idea. There are precious few places to turn to anymore, except online and that's really not enough. It's getting very hard to show him the respect that his position deserves. My question to the Pope after his comments (and to the various cardinals who seem to be anti traditional Catholicism) would be Why are you Catholic? Are you sure that you are? When was the last time you opened a bible and read Jesus' words? If you're so convinced of your stance why not change religions?May God have mercy on all of us.
I never thought I would say this about any Pope.....I just wish he would go away.
Salvatore, it's pretty much everything. He's wearing me out and I hope he gets some rest and gives us some rest for Christmas.
Most of the people in my life, catholic and noncatholic, just love this Pope. I am hoping that is considered penance for me. Dymphna it is so good of you, in your charitable good humor, to speak up and make those of us who feel the same, not feel so alone. I think we are in some ways being forced to learn and affirm the Truths of the faith in the face of our current leadership. Kinda like stretching and training before a real challenge. Oh, that implies something bigger is on the horizon.
Funny, and to the point!
