one of the saddest stories i've ever read

I read a news story about the footprints left in floor a wooden floor by a Buddhist monk. He's been praying in that same spot for decades. How heartbreaking! This man's whole life has been dedicated to nothing.

Go screw yourself you ignorant nut. How dare you criticize another person's religion when your own is far more silly and unrealistic. You should be ashamed and realize that you do not symbolize a Christian at all.

I agree with DeeDaw101, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself for even saying something like that. You don't enjoy it when people bash your religion so why would you bash someone else's? That is called hypocrisy, and is plain out childish. If your church didn't teach you the golden rule- "Treat others how you would like to be treated" then your parents at least should have. You're doing a bad job trying to set a good example of Christianity to the rest of society. That monk knows a lot more about life, dedication, and spirituality than you ever will. "Before you judge a man, you must walk a mile in his shoes." Or in this case, pray for decades without them. I suggest you rethink your view of life, and of others, as that comment (true or not) says a lot more about you than you would hope.

You may be one of the most idiotic people I have ever had the displeasure of noticing. Not only do you insult another person's religion, but you choose to ignore the fact that perhaps you're incorrect about yours. Learn to think for yourself. Not only will you be a better person, but you'll also be a smarter person. I don't know, maybe there's no hope for people like you. Burn in an imaginary hell, please. Kthxbai

Praying or meditating?

Both may physically involve alpha states of brain, but they are theologically speaking very different things, per se.
