Active love is a harsh and fearful thing compared to the love in dreams...

This homily is so incredible. I'd recommend it to  or any young bride or groom who just discovered that marriage aint moonlight and magnolias every single day.

“A God without wrath brought men without sin into a kingdom without judgment through the ministrations of a Christ without a cross.” Niebuhr

For some each day is Calvary. Some take their cross as the bad thief did... resentment and anger. Others like the good thief.... reluctantly at first perhaps but recognition and acceptance and perhaps absolution at the end. Or, like Christ... with love, prayer and openess to the Fathers will.

You were raised by Puddleglum or someone like him, right?
