Praise the Lord!

Cardinal George has told Fr. Pfleger to sit down, hush up and think about himself for awhile.

Pray for the cardinal and pray for the poor priest who has been chosen to temporarily replace Fr. Pfleger. And pray for the parishioners of St. Sabina.

Good for the Cardinal! As far as Fr. Pfleger is concerned, I wish he would remember the following:

1. He made critical comments about a candidate for the Presidency in a controversial non-Catholic church. These comments were of a personal nature and in no way reflected upon her public record as evidenced in her voting record, for example.

2. In so doing he embarrassed rank and file Catholics and broke Catholic rules regarding the proper use of speech in the public square.

3. He jeopardized the tax exempt status of both Trinity and St. Sabina's.

4. His "apology" published on the St. Sabina web site, is long on "woe is me" and short on remorse.

5. At his ordination, he promised obedience to the ordaining bishop and his successors. He needs to obey.

6. If he feels that the Cardinal's discipline is unduly harsh, he ought to unite his suffering to that of Christ crucified.

7. He needs to get over himself.

Good for Cardinal George!

Now let a solid religious order overtake St. Sabina's.
