Thank God that's over

The Pope is back from his trip to the Holy Land. It was a grueling schedule for an 82 year man. I found it very distasteful how everyone seemed to want to use the Holy Father's presence to advance their own religious and political quarrels.
I hope he takes a long break after this.

How true.

Viva il Papa! - Appropriate.

Viva Palestina! - Inappropriate.

If we had a nickle for every time the latter was shouted in the presence of The Holy Father.

Not quite so.

Bible prophecy says the son of David will judge between nations.

This refers to Jesus Christ and perhaps less to the final judgement (after which there will be individuals in Heaven and individuals in Hell, and neither divided after nation states) than to occasions like when Alexander VI judged between Spain and Portugal, a judgement leading to Florida and Texas being Spanish and to Brazil and Moçambique being Portuguese, a judgement which was also illegally ignored by English Protestants and French Gallicans, which is why there is New Orleans and Virginia and more English than Spanish spoken in North America.

Christian Palestinians are either Catholics or Orthodox.

Not sure who, of Israel or Muslim Palestinians is worse tomorrow.

Looking back, Israel has been more even and too unjust, Muslim Palestinians have been more uneven - sometimes just or nearly so, sometimes worse than Israelis.
