Now this is a love story

Sixty years ago Ed Hale vowed that he would never leave his beloved Floreen and they married in St. Jospeh's Church in New York.  He kept that promise to the day he died. What a man and what a woman Floreen must have been to enkindle such devotion.

Kind of makes all of those "reality" romance shows seem as ridiculous as they really are, doesn't it? Oh, yeah, and all of those magazines we see at the check-out lines. We need to show this story to all Pre-Cana couples.

Now this is a real romance. I must say I love Floreen's hair bows, and I bet Ed loved them too.

"It was 1952 that the couple first locked eyes at a county dance, a moment that they'd describe to their children as love at first sight."

No nonsense about parents needing to advice against love at first sight back then, was there!
