Wow... the detail of those veils must've been such an intricate process for the artist! So impressive!

Even the lines on the man's' face and hands... just... wow.

As an aside, I thought it interesting that the elderly man, even being elderly and likely more in need of an actual kneeler, was using the back of a chair and the floor.

Even in old age, he would not give up his chivalry. God bless him (for I assume the artist was painting folks he'd actually seen at some point).

I think the artist was painting from his visits to the cathedral. I didn't pick up on the elderly man at first but what a gentleman.

So beautiful. It reminds me of another Spanish Cathedral -- Santiago. You can almost smell the interior - a mixture of incense and the combination of ancient dust and damp. So many prayers said in those ancient places. May we sanctify our modern churches with prayer and reverence.
